...
welcomes you to The Clyde Valley, Scotland. Enjoy your visit.

Kilsyth,
a town on the east end of Campsie Fells, has been a burgh for
centuries. The name was originally spelt "Kelvesith", refering
to the the area around the headwaters of the River Kelvin.
The Antonine
Wall, regarded as the most significant Roman work in Scotland,
runs along the heights of the South slopes of the Kelvin Valley.
The Roman wall has three forts - one at Croy Hill, another at
Westerwood, and the third is at Castlecary.
Colzium
Lennox Estate
The estate
was presented to the inhabitants of Kilsyth in 1937. Colzium House,
which includes a museum of local history, is located on the estate.
The remains of a mediaeval ice house can also be found there, as well
as a Clock Theatre. The Colzium Lennox estate is also home to
a collection of dwarf shrubs, conifers and plants within a walled ornamental
garden.
