I was born in Carfin in
Lanarkshire but have been in the States since I
was only four years old. I live near Pittsburgh,
Pennsylvania in a small town close to the
Allegheny Mountains. I have been told by visiting
relatives that this area looks very much like
Scotland. I am sorry to say that I have only been
to Scotland once since coming here. I was in the
77th Infantry Division during WWII, and served in
the Pacific theater. Would really like to hear
from someone who may have also been in the
service during the war, especially if you were in
Guam, the Phillipines, Okinawa and/or Japan. |
