My father was born in Partick and had a brother named Andrew, and Robert and a sister Celia. Their mother, Mary McNair, moved to Canada in 1966 to live with us. Her son Robert's family moved to Australia and we would love to hear from them. An uncle on my mother's side (he would be a Bell) moved to America in the 1950s and we have no idea where his family is. |

I went to both Queens Park Schools (primary & Secondary) and was in the 158th BB Co based at Battlefield West Church. I have a brother Stuart & we migrated with out parents in 1956 to Australia. I would like to make contact with any of my old school friends who might remember me. I can remember Kenneth MacAllister, Val Brown, Ronald Brownlee (who I now believe is dead as well as another mate Sandy Heron). Alec "Goofy" Florence was also an old friend. His father had the chemist's shop in Sinclair Drive near the mayfair picture theatre. I used to deliver papers for Bruces's paper shop across the road from the Mayfair then I worked as a grocers boy in Galbraiths for a few years before coming to Oz. If there is anyone who remembers me I'd be pleased to hear from you. Two of my brothers pals were Campbell Robertson and Fergus Hamilton both lived across the road from us in Cartvale Road. |
