I am the first generation to
be born in the USA (N.Y.). Both of my parents
were born in Scotland and are now deceased. My
moms side provided many years of family history
for me. For which I am very grateful. However it
is my Dad's family history that is almost
non-existent. My grandmother (Eleanora Wilson,
born 1/6/1877) married John Glassford and they
had 4 sons. They names were Samuel,John,Hugh and
William. At some point in time they immigrated to
Bronx,NY. I was told that my grandfather was a
practicing lawyer in Glasgow and that Glassford
street was named after him. Right now I am
working on a family tree that I can pass on to my
children and grandchildren. The information is
very vague, but if anyone can supply even a small
piece I would appreciate hearing from you. |

was born in Clydebank in 1966. I went to Our Holy
Redeemer's school until i moved to texas with my
parents in 1975. After I finished school I joined
the american navy to see the world and ended up
getting stationed in Dunoon. I was there until
the base closed down in '92. I still consider
Scotland my home and I like to go back as often
as I can. I live in Hawaii now but would like to
hear from other fellow Scots. |
