I am a former pupil of
Knightswood Sec School. One of the first intake
of preppies when it was a brand new school. Are
there any of my old schoolmates out there? I was
known as Betty Elder then and often wonder what
the others in my class are doing now. Let me
know! |

still miss it. |

Hi! I am a 32 year old woman
from L.A. I have visited Glasgow and I am wild
about it. I feel much more at home there than I
do here in the land of eternal, blinding
sunshine(and smog). I am a psychotherapy intern
who works with battered women, adolecents with
familial and emotional problems and homeless,
mentally ill people. I am a commited humanist,
which in the U.S. tends to place me on the far
left of the political spectrum. I am also
passionately involved in poetry and performance
art. My husband and I were hoping to move to
Glasgow in the spring or summer of '99 with our
three little children to be closer to our family
in Rome and also because it feels more like
"home". Tragically, my husband died
suddenly on August 2. I feel very strongly that
he would want me to continue with our plans and
dreams. I would be grateful and thrilled to
correspond with anyone and everyone...I need
encouragement! Thank you very much. |

Hello, I was born in Linthouse
in 1944. I moved to Pollok when I was 6 and
stayed at Bargaran Road then Ladymuir Crescent
until I got married in 1969. I was at Crookston
Castle School from 1956 until 1959. I served my
apprenticeship in Weirs at Cathcart and stayed
until 1969, then British Polar Engines in Helen
Street until 1977. We moved to Dunfermline in
1981. I was in the RNXS for 8 years until its
demise in 1994. Currently involved with the
Scottish Vintage Bus Museum (a charity) at its
home near Dunfermline (Open Sundays 12 - 5 from
Easter until end September and open weekend in
August). I hope to hear from any long-lost
aquaintances from school or work. |
