The Broomielaw, the home
of the Clyde steamers, still offers day trippers the
opportunity to travel aboard the PS Waverley on her varied day and evening cruises.
Helensburgh, Largs, Dunoon, Rothesay
and the Kyle's of Bute all feature in her summer itineraries. |

Clyde Auditorium viewed from Bell's
Bridge
|
New structures continue to rise from
the ashes of bygone shipyards and loading docks. The
Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centres latest
addition is the splendid Clyde Auditorium. Bells
Bridge was constructed to serve as a thoroughfare
linking north and south banks of the River Clyde during
the 1988 Glasgow Garden Festival.
Bell's Bridge now provides an essential
link between the SECC and Glasgow's IMAX Cinema in the Pacific Quay Science Complex. |
