Garvald
The Scottish villages of Stenton
and Garvald in East Lothian are surrounded by rolling fields
and woodland, and consist largely of red sandstone houses.
Garvald is a tiny village, practically hidden
in a dip in the surrounding Lammermuir Hills. Close by, a forest
nature walk can be found around a lake that was once an open cast mine.
Both Stenton
and Garvald are on one of the tourist routes around East Lothian.
