Queen Elizabeth (Liner)
The Queen Elizabeth liner was launched in 1938 from
John Brown's shipyard in Clydebank.
During World War II the Queen Elizabeth was used to
transport 320,000 soldiers from the United States of America to Europe.
Her speed was enough to out run German U-Boats.
The Queen Elizabeth made her last service journey in
1969, when she was sold to a company in Hong Kong, who transformed her
into Seawise University.
